The North Berwick Boy Scout and Cub Scout Troop 312 will be the recipient of Congdon’s After Dark’s “Tithing Tuesday” program at the food truck park in Wells, Maine on Tuesday, July 16th.
The event will go from 4-9 p.m. The North Berwick Scouts will receive 10% of proceeds from the food trucks at the park that evening: Tripp’s Farmhouse Café, Mobile Musette, Nom Bai Street Kitchen, Burrito Betty’s, Blue Mermaid, MacDaddy’s Seafood & Tots, Knew Potato Caboose, Big Grampa’s Grill, and Congdon’s Doughnuts.
The North Berwick scouting program, which currently has 39 scouts, will use the money to fund various educational programs for the Cub Scouts and update aging camping equipment for the Boy Scouts. It will also help send scouts to National Youth Leaders Training and to help fund summer camp for scouts that can’t afford it.
Congdon’s After Dark, New England’s first daily food truck park, hosts weekly fundraisers every Tuesday as part of its inaugural “Tithing Tuesday” program, which has raised thousands of dollars for nonprofits and local community organizations this summer. Between 8-10 trucks gather in the parking lot of Congdon’s Doughnuts, at 1090 Post Road in Wells, every evening until Labor Day, then weekends until Columbus Day.
At the event, the Scouts will demonstrate some of the skills they have learned from Scouting program.
The rain date will be the Wednesday July 17th.
